So, I've been Catholic all my life. The drag-me-to-mass-on-a-Sunday-kicking-and-screaming kind of Catholic. The why-do-we-have-to-go-to-mass-no-one-else-does kind of Catholic. The Jesus-loves-me-so-I-can-do-what-I-want kind of Catholic.
Ugh...
It's a pretty long-winded story, but the point is that Jesus spoke about those types of people: the hypocrites. We are actually called to experience Jesus Himself through the Eucharist (not just turn up), to pray fervently every day, and to live out our God-given vocation for His glory.
This world is full to the brim with distractions. How on earth can we work/homeschool/study/raise kids/keep house/socialise and still have time to pray?
That's what this section is about. Figuring that out. Figuring out what a Rule of Life is, what the Liturgy of the Hours (Hours of the Divine Office) are, and applying them in my life. Imma need some major changes to make this happen... Dear Lord, please give me the strength to move closer to you and hear your Word. Amen.
